Abstract

Objective: To develop and validate a digital educational booklet on post-discharge care for children.

Method: A methodological study conducted in five stages in the state of Rio de Janeiro, between December 2023 and August 2024, using an electronic form. For the validation process, the Agreement Index was used, with values required to be greater than or equal to 80%.

Results: The digital booklet entitled "Guidance on Child Health after Hospital Discharge" was validated with an overall Agreement Index of 92% across the domains of content, language, presentation, relevance, and illustrations, with values ranging from 82% to 94% for the items evaluated individually.

Conclusion: The digital booklet, available free of charge, proved to be a valid and engaging educational technology capable of providing family members with practical and accessible guidance on essential child healthcare at home after hospital discharge.
