The study aimed to examine demographic variables and the adherence to monitoring biological fluids afterthe accidents included in the National System of Health Harms Notification, in 2007 in Curitiba. This is a quantitative, descriptive, retrospective and epidemiological research. We analyzed 637 reporting forms for biological exposure. In thistype of accident the injured workers were mostly female, 539 (84.61%). Records show a significant drop out of 339 (53.2%)workers. The results confirmed that occupational exposure is an aggravating factor in the workers health and its monitoringdeserves special attention. The records do not reflect the seriousness of the problem, because the attention directed toworkers and institutions still shows a large portion of under reporting.Downloads
