Parques urbanos como catalisadores do crescimento econômico: discussão de insights a partir de metrópoles sul-americanas

Resumo

Os parques urbanos são cada vez mais reconhecidos como ativos fundamentais para o desenvolvimento urbano sustentável, abordando os desafios interligados da degradação ambiental, desigualdade social e estagnação econômica. Este estudo explora seus papéis multifacetados, com foco em suas contribuições para o crescimento econômico, recreação, enriquecimento cultural e engajamento comunitário. A partir de observações realizadas em Lima, São Paulo e Santiago do Chile, além de estudos de caso internacionais, a análise destaca como os parques urbanos aumentam o valor das propriedades, estimulam o empreendedorismo e fomentam o turismo, ao mesmo tempo em que integram princípios da economia circular e tecnologias modernas. A pesquisa também examina desafios como barreiras de acessibilidade, desigualdade social e a supercomercialização, enfatizando a necessidade de políticas equilibradas para preservar o propósito intrínseco dos parques como espaços inclusivos, ecológicos e culturais. Ao demonstrar o potencial transformador dos parques urbanos, a discussão defende sua integração estratégica no planejamento urbano como motores de desenvolvimento sustentável, bem-estar comunitário e revitalização econômica de longo prazo.

Biografia do Autor

Edgar Romario Aranibar Ramos, Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa

Doutorando em Ambiente e Sociedade pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brasil, e em Turismo pela Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil. É mestre em Turismo e possui dois bacharelados com honras: Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de São Paulo e Administração de Empresas pela Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa, Peru. Atua também como assistente de ensino em Geografia Humana na University of Alberta, Canadá, e como pesquisador júnior na Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa. Suas pesquisas concentram-se nas mobilidades turísticas, na integração regional, na governança de fronteiras e nas desigualdades de acesso à mobilidade, com especial atenção à América Latina e ao Sul Global.
