Having as basis a reflexive approach, I try to understand how nursing has dealt with the saturation brought by the modernity dogmas and how they have influenced on its knowledge corpus and, consequently, on the care in health. New values related to the aesthetic style of being in the world have appeared and nursing practices have been reorganized. The theory used as support to the present reflection is brought, mainly, by Michel Maffesoli, who criticises the modernity and the values in statu nascendi of the post-modernity.
