THE FORMATION OF A LINK: A PROPOSAL OF NURSING FOR THE PREVENTION OF THE HOSPITAL INFECTIONS

This study realized in a University Hospital in Curitiba, suggested the development of a united work between health care workers on Infection Control and multi-professional staff of one nursery for the prevention of nosocomial infections. It was motivated by the importance of these professionals on the context of prevention of health damage, particularly of nosocomial infections and the necessity of searching for forms of approach, face of the collapse of traditional and vertical models utilized until that time. During his development several health care workers were involved. The teoric referencial was supported by Florence Nightingale writings. The methodology was based on the [Participant Planning] and on the [Pedagogy of Problematization], as structured by Juan Diaz Bordenave. The methodological development enclosed the reflexion about factors predisposing nosocomial infections and the planning of actions to preventions. This study propiciated the experiment of a new form of approach, forming a link between the health care team, establishing a referential to health care workers interested on the subject.
