WATSON’S CARING-HEALING FACTORS – A NURSING PROFESSORS’ VIEW

Abstract

This study, making use of a descriptive exploratory approach, is based on Jean Watson’s transpersonal theory on human care. We have tried to analyze the author’s ten caring-healing factors through the perspective of nursing professors from the State University of Maringá. The analysis has shown that most of them have been using these principles in their practice, even when not knowing they were part of Jean Watson’s transpersonal caring-healing theory.
