USE OF KING’S THEORY IN THE FACILITATION OF THE COMPLIANCE TO THE TREATMENT OF THE HYPERTENSION

It’s a case study of customer with hypertension and with no compliance to the treatment. It was objectified to facilitate his compliance to the treatment, specifying goals based on the King’s Theory of Reaching Goals, to drift and implement nursing attendance to the customer. It took place six home visits, with health assessment, applying King’s nursing process. It was worked the diagnose ineffective control of the therapeutic regime. They were defined as goals: 1. to take the medicines, 2. to walk 30 minutes by day, 3. to control the high blood pressure and 4. to lose a kilogram by month, until to stay six kilos in six months. The nursing interventions were: to identify factors that impede the control of the hypertension in the customer, to obtain relationship between his needs and viable services, to promote participation in groups of self-help and to promote participation of the family in the treatment. It took place weekly evolution for 23 days. The compliance was facilitated and was reached the goals of to take the medications and to walk 30 minutes by day, but the other goals haven’t been still reached.
