Prevalência de sintomas de burnout em profissionais de enfermagem*

Resumo

Objetivo: Estimar a prevalência de sintomas de burnout em uma amostra de trabalhadores de enfermagem.

Método: Estudo observacional, transversal, com amostragem não probabilística. Participaram do estudo 3594 enfermeiros, técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem brasileiros. A coleta de dados ocorreu em ambiente virtual, entre abril e julho de 2022, sendo utilizado o Burnout Assessment Tool - Versão Geral. Na análise dos dados, foram calculadas as médias e realizada a classificação dos escores de burnout em quatro níveis.

Resultados: Observou-se o predomínio de níveis moderados de exaustão (42,29%); distanciamento mental (38,59%); prejuízo cognitivo (54,73%); prejuízo emocional (52,56%); distresse psicológico e queixas psicossomáticas (49,55%).

Conclusão: O predomínio de níveis moderados de sintomas de burnout reforça a necessidade da implementação de estratégias eficazes para a prevenção do adoecimento mental dos profissionais de enfermagem, o que inclui a redução de riscos psicossociais no contexto laboral, visando a promoção de ambientes de trabalho saudáveis.
