Prevalencia de síntomas de burnout en profesionales de enfermería*

Objetivo: Estimar la prevalencia de síntomas de burnout en una muestra conformada por trabajadores de enfermería.
Método: Estudio observacional y transversal, con muestreo no probabilístico. Los participantes del estudio fueron 3594 enfermeros, técnicos y auxiliares de enfermería brasileños. Los datos se recolectaron en un entorno virtual entre abril y julio de 2022, utilizando la Burnout Assessment Tool - Versión general. En la fase del análisis de los datos se calcularon los valores medios y se clasificaron las puntuaciones de burnout en cuatro niveles.
Resultados: Se observó predominio de niveles moderados de agotamiento (42,29%), distanciamiento mental (38,59%), deterioro cognitivo (54,73%), deterioro emocional (52,56%), distrés psicológico y quejas psicosomáticas (49,55%).
Conclusión: El predominio de niveles moderados de síntomas de burnout refuerza la necesidad de implementar estrategias eficaces para prevenir enfermedades mentales en los profesionales de enfermería; eso incluye reducir la cantidad de riesgos psicosociales en el contexto laboral, con el fin de promover ambientes de trabajo saludables.
