Abstract

The text proceeds a reinterpretation of the mainstream thinking on environmetnal policies, trying to interrogate it about the absence of reflexion on environmental negationism. The governamental strategy of dismanteling environemental regulatory agencies that began to be developed in Brazil in 2019 is discussed from the point of view of the history of environmental Brazilian debate, serving as well to point some gaps in the literature responsible for introducing environmental policies in the field of applied social sciences.
