A cidade constitui-se num considerável desafio aos estudiosos do ambiente urbano, principalmente quando se trata de ambiente urbano-metropolitano. Abordá-la numa perspectiva interdisciplinar tendo os problemas ambientais como cerne das preocupações, impõe o exercício conjunto de diversos campos disciplinares. A metodologia de trabalho interdisciplinar, embasada num suporte teórico aliado a uma perspectiva empírica, tendo como objeto de estudo a cidade de Curitiba e a região metropolitana de Curitiba, foi uma rica experiência de estudo interdisciplinar de problemáticas ambientais urbano-metropolitanas levada a cabo no âmbito do Curso de Doutorado em Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento da UFPR, entre 1996 e 2000, cujo processo de elaboração e prática é objeto deste artigo.
Indisciplinary approach of the urban-metropolitan environmental problematic: methodological scketch of the UFPR MA & D doctors program about RMC - Curitibas Metropolitan Region
Abstract
The city consists in a considerable challenge to the urban environment studious, principally when it repports to the urban-metropolitan environment. To approach this subject in a interdisciplinary perspective, the environmental problems in the center of interests, imposes the joint exercise of different disciplines. An interdisciplinary works methodology based on theoretical support and an empirical perspective wich Curitiba city and its metropolitan region was the object study, was created and experimented by the Environment and Development Doctors Program of UFPR from 1996 to 2000. That experience is the subject to this paper.
