Dimensional framework of urban resilience: systematic evaluation in Latin American territories

This article proposes a conceptual and methodological framework for the systematic evaluation of transformative urban resilience in Latin American territories. Through a structured literature review and the analysis of five case studies from Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, and Chile, five key dimensions are identified: social, governance, physical, environmental, and economic. The study presents a comparative matrix of dimensions that enables the measurement and comparison of resilience across territories with varying levels of vulnerability and adaptive capacity. Findings emphasize the central role of the social dimension, the need for participatory approaches, and the importance of territorial justice as a foundation for resilient and inclusive public policies.
