Abstract

: This article analyzes the process of constitution of the journalism catholic directed for the catholic layman, as well as the educative role attributed to the periodic catholics. In this interpretative task it approaches the discussion of the intellectual catholic layman elite around thematic the educative one to the light of the paranaense historical context, of the period of study that is circumscribed between 1926 and 1939, arguing its interlocutions with the theoretic and philosophic  thoughts in general , as well as its ideas and cultural interventions.  It runs over the contribution of catholic layman to the romanizing project of Catholic Church and emphasizes that one of the role of this group was to create a series of periodic in the paranaense capital, without forgetting the political  and cultural context from Brazil and Europe as a creation support of these groups. It is based in the productions published in the Alvor; in the magazine The Cruzada; in the Cruzeiro; in the Luzeiro, which allow us to affirm that the catholic layman established the journalism where the main intellectuals and political leads of state and capital to put themselves serving the romanizing project of Catholic Church. Key-words: Intellectuals; journalism; catholic church; education.
