Abstract

This paper shows an analysis carried through on the relationship established by the teacher and the knowledge in the teaching activity, in the initial grades of primary education in public schools. It was possible to verify that the teachers establish utilitarian and superficial relationship, either with the scientific knowledge, or the knowledge of school subjects, due to the learning occurred at the moments of initial formation or continuous formation and related to its practical applicability, as well as due to what the teaching activity provides and demands from the teachers in their daily work. Moreover, we stand out the valuation of knowledge acquired with the experience.
