Abstract

The objective of this work is to present a coherent research approach with the nature of nursing, integrating research and care as complementary elements to nurses performance. It states the assumptions and includes the proposed stages by the researchcare method: 1. Approach the study phenomenon; 2. Meet the studied-cared being; 3. Establishment of the research-theory-practice connections; 4. Distance from the studied-cared being; 5 Analysis of the apprehended. It demonstrates the applicability of the method in different contexts of the nursing professional exercise, assisting the validation and consolidation of the method.
