Abstract

It is a reflective study that considers the humanization of the initial attendance provided to politraumatized
victims in the emergency room, approaching its relational scope. The arguments of this practice are based on Imogene
King’s theory of goal attainment, which structure is based on the conceptual model of the interrelate open systems. The
relationship between the nursing care provided in a humanized way, in the relational aspect, and the context of the trauma
is sustained by the concepts proposed in King’s personal system, being an important instrument in the reorganization of
the work process by means of the nursing assistance systematization in an emergency service.
