It is an account experienced in a unit for burned bodies. Strategies for the demechanization of the caregiving body were implemented, objectifying the design of a caring proposition for burned victims, grounded by Polak’s nursing and caring conception (1996). Respect for the uniqueness and expectations of the disabled body are pointed out.
