Abstract

Nas últimas duas décadas, profissionais, docentes, estudantes e demais que se iniciam no campo da pesquisa foram beneficiados pelas mais variadas publicações sobre metodologia da pesquisa ou teorias que norteiam essa prática.Discutiu-se, ao longo desse período, a questão metodológica como atividade complexa que demanda integração entre teoria e empiria na construção do conhecimento. Novos métodos em história e fundamentos teóricos de algumas metodologias qualitativas na sociologia e aplicados à Enfermagem mostraram-se promissores. A importância da pesquisa, no campo da Enfermagem, foi reconhecida e se consolidou com a criação dos núcleos de pesquisa.
