It is with great satisfaction that we present this new edition of the Archives of Veterinary Science, which arrives at a time of intense and continuous evolution in veterinary medicine. Our commitment, as editors, is to be the bridge to the knowledge that drives innovation, enhances practices, and strengthens our mission to care for animal, public health and the environment.
In this volume, we navigate a diversity of crucial topics that reflect the frontiers of current research. As always, AVS stands out by bringing contributions ranging from the clinical and surgical aspects of small and large animals to herd health and the relationship between animal, human, and environmental health, in the context of One Health. Since the beginning of 2024 we have increased more than 10 times the access to the journal, amplifying our horizons with ethics and a great editorial job.
We highlight research that explores new diagnostic approaches, innovative therapies, and the impact of environmental factors on animal health, demonstrating our relentless pursuit of solutions to the most complex challenges. We hope this edition inspires new investigations and collaborates in the formation of an even more engaged and connected scientific community.

In 2025, we will celebrate veterinary parasitology in the heart of Brazil
The Archives of Veterinary Science (Arch. Vet. Sci.) is pleased to announce that its third issue of the 30th edition (v. 30, n. 4) will be dedicated to the area of veterinary parasitology. On this occasion, we pay tribute to the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP), and the event that will be held in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, from August 17 to 21, 2025 (see schedule: waavp2025.com).
A global milestone of knowledge and innovation
WAAVP is the world's most prestigious event in the area of veterinary parasitology, bringing together experts, researchers and professionals from all over the world to discuss the latest advances and challenges in the field. The 2025 edition, hosted in vibrant Curitiba, promises to be a landmark in the history of veterinary parasitology.
A very special, comprehensive and engaging issue
The 30th issue will be very special to Arch Vet Sci as it is a comprehensive and engaging record of topics and discoveries in veterinary parasitology. Readers will find original scientific articles, in-depth reviews and clinical case reports covering a wide range of topics, including:
- Epidemiology and control of parasitic diseases in livestock and companion animals.
- Treatment of parasites and resistance to antiparasitics.
