Abstract

Our article intends to reflect in order to determine to what extent the development of life sciences, on the one hand, and of biopolitics, on the other, is still nourished by the same metaphysical presuppositions that have led to an environmental crisis and, consequently, do not represent a radical alternative for its overcoming. The purpose is to outline a work program around our living condition, where a reflection that can genuinely aspire to environmental ethics as a political ecology worthy of such name should be normatively founded.
