Abstract

Based on secondary data, this study analyzes the universe constituted by scientific data, legal and publicopinion on the eradication of invasive exotic species in Brazil. Consolidated information indicates thatconflicts and academic uncertainties on bioinvasion create the existing gap and conflicts among existinglegal instruments. Moreover, existing gap between information generation and the access of them topopulation is one of the main causes hindering implementation of eradication actions. Present situationindicates that although scientific and legal advances, components improvement in facing these problemsis still greatly needed, as well as society effective inclusion.
