The analysis wasbased on a case study in the only property of Brazil with an FSC erva-mate (Yerba mate) certification. The study leads to two main conclusions: there is a 20% to 67% increase in the product’s final price, according to the market; access to market niches (organic and ecological products), new markets (cosmeticsindustry); and the opening of potential markets (pharmaceutical industry).
