Abstract

In this article I try to summarize the main ideas of space in Cortázar that had been presented during the extension event Abrindo a porta para ir jogar ( Opening the door to go play) in the Federal University of the Paraná. The analyzed space not only involves the literary text itself, but also the etymology of anguish (a common feeling in the workmanship of Cortázar) and, in an esthetics premessenger of the reception, an involvement of the reader in its empirical space and its relation with the object book. Cortázar in his writings shows the relevance of an active reader and abettor. Because of that it was looked to illustrate this space envolvement lithography of the Escher tracer who works with a common element for both authors: the surrealism and the subversion of space.
