Abstract

Cortazar´s work was and has been largely studied from different perspectives. Important theoretical people are basically working on it because, among other things, it represents the top of a movement called MAGICAL REALISM OR FANTASTIC REALISM. Such movement or way of writing is characterized by a different way of learning or interacting with the reality and how it comes to us. The present article intends to make an analysis of the short story Casa tomada by Julio Cortázar observing the relationship with reality. The important point here is the discursive strategy used in the establishment of the short story and which is going to be the beginning of a piece of work about the prose which will occupy him through all his career as a writer. It interests me to see how the effect of the fantastic is produced in the materialization of Cortazar´s short story.
