This work is the result of the historiographical research about “Biblioteca de Cultura Pedagógica” (BCP), a collection published by the argentine publishing house Kapelusz, founded and directed between 1946 and 1951 by Clotilde Guillén de Rezzano, one of the forerunners of the New Education in Argentina. We analyze the training of Latin American teachers by studying the production and circulation of BCP works that form a pedagogical literature for Latin America. Thus, the aim is to show, from a transnational perspective, matters of materiality and narratives in BCP textbooks. Methodologically, the analysis focuses on the text-form relationship, with characteristics about the publisher, BCP and its founder, the production and circulation of the works in Brazil and Latin America, as well as the physical aspects of the books, constituting the analysis of the materiality – of the form; the analysis of the narratives – of the text – which advised future teachers on the importance of the educational renewal movement will be presented based on some works from the collection and on the considerations of its founder. The theoretical framework used, such as Chartier (1999), Choppin (2004) and Batista and Galvão (2009), helps in the studies and analysis. Through this research, we conclude that the BCP manuals helped to understand themes such as the New Education and teaching, breaking down boundaries and contributing to the memory of the training of Latin American teachers.
