An Anthropological View for the Application of Questionnaires in Educational Research

Abstract

In this study, some anthropological concepts - the idea of native vocabulary, understanding and approach to another - and sociological concepts are triggered as a strategy to reframe the questionnaires, to consider it as an instance of social complex processes that produces opinion. The analysis of the reactions and actions of the actors in school during the application of questionnaires is considered as a possibility for the interpretation of the material characteristics diversities and of rules and individual actions, reasons the reading of the figures, beyond to statistical explanations. During the description of this type of activity we could scale the relation between exceptions and regularity of behavior, extending the look to the future work of field observation, to the mechanisms for identification and interaction with researchers, considering this step as a space for reflection of school experience aspects. It is recommended as a means of expanding to the quantitative approach, that the set of views on the use of questionnaires in educational research should be accounted in the quantitative analysis, making the interpretation of search results.
