Abstract

The strategy of implementation of the Programa Nacional de Fortalecimentodos Conselhos Escolares has been examined and adopted by the Secretary ofBasic Education of the Department of Education (MEC) with the objective toidentify the mechanisms used for the registration of the themes – democraticmanagement – in the agenda of the secretaries of education and the schools,as per the involvement of the managers and the school council members inthe processes of formation promoted by the MEC, during the period of 2004 to 2006.
