THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL MOBILITY IN ADOLESCENTS

This article discusses the understanding of adolescents based on the notion of social mobility, from a research conducted with students from a Public school in São Paulo State, reflecting on how learning occurs based on this notion. For the research described, interviews were conducted with 20 adolescents, using exploratory questions of character, based on Piagetian clinical method, to which the notion of social mobility in adolescents were classified into three levels proposed by Delval. According to the results, we could conclude that the notion of the concept in question is a difficult acquisition by adolescents. Because of this, it is emphasized the importance of the subject for teaching graduation courses, especially Social Sciences.
