No presente trabalho realizou-se uma análise do vigente sistema educacional brasileiro. Apontou-se como alternativa a prática de uma educação libertadora e comprometida com o respeito à dignidade humana, realizada através de uma Educação Cidadã, a qual mediante o dialogismo, a incitação ao questionamento e ao reconhecimento do outro, possibilita ao educando uma visão critica da realidade e a consciência de seu existir como agente transformador da sociedade. Envolto em uma nova ética social, o indivíduo faz das diversas esferas do convívio social prática da luta por e pelos direitos do cidadão.
