Comercio de productos chinos de alta tecnología
Contribución a la circulación del RMB en la BRI

Este estudio examina la posible contribución del comercio de productos chinos de alta tecnología, en concreto maquinaria y electrónica, al aumento de la circulación del renminbi (RMB) en los corredores de la Iniciativa del Cinturón y la Ruta (BRI). La hipótesis es que el comercio de estos productos estimula la circulación de la moneda china en la región. Para ello, el análisis se centra en cuatro países: Singapur, Malasia, Tailandia y los Emiratos Árabes Unidos. El estudio, de carácter exploratorio, utiliza datos oficiales e informes de organismos internacionales, además de una revisión bibliográfica. Encontró indicios de que el comercio intra-BRI, en auge, constituye el espacio adecuado para aumentar el uso del RMB fuera de China. Sin embargo, la dificultad para acceder a los datos y su dispersión plantean retos para futuros estudios sobre el tema.
