This article aims to reflect about the Evidence-based practice on the professional practice of nurses. Evidencebased
practice is a methodology for clinical practice widespread among health professionals. It is the use of strong
scientific evidence produced by studies conducted with methodological rigor, to the decision making process about the
best way to conduct the case. The formation of a scientific evidence follows a few steps: formulating a clinical issue,
looking for evidence, critical evaluation of the found evidence and decision-making based on that evidence.
