Das escolas de aprendizes e artífices; dos patronatos e escolas agrícolas à criação e impactos do IFSULDEMINAS / From the schools of apprentices and craftsmen; from employers and agricultural schools to the creation and impacts of IFSULDEMINAS

Resumo

Este artigo investigou a constituição histórica do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Sul de Minas Gerais, que atingiu a maior expansão de sua história desde a sua criação, pois há quase um século, entre 1909 e 2002, foram construídas apenas 140 escolas técnicas em todo o Brasil. Já no período investigado foram construídos 360% a mais de escolas técnicas em relação às construídas anteriormente. Objetivou-se analisar os impactos da expansão da rede federal de educação profissional no Sul de Minas Gerais e realizar o levantamento histórico das escolas agro técnicas de Muzambinho, Machado e Inconfidentes, todas situadas no sul do estado de Minas Gerais, que constituíram  o Instituto Federal do Sul de Minas. A pesquisa, de caráter exploratório, se caracterizou como qualitativa, de cunho predominantemente documental e bibliográfico, ir às fontes e compreender, por meio dos dados e informações, a relação da história dessas instituições com o contexto socioeconômico, político e cultural do Brasil e da região geográfica do Sul de Minas Gerais. A perspectiva teórica assumida pressupôs a compreensão do singular, sendo a realidade interna de expansão, associada   ao impacto ocorrido da rede federal de ensino em sua relação com a comunidade local e regional, inseridos neste contexto sócio-histórico. Sob o ponto da análise das informações obtidas, procurou-se compreender como a expansão ocorreu.

This article investigated the historical constitution of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the South of Minas Gerais, which reached the greatest expansion of its history since its creation, for almost a century, between 1909 and 2002, there were only 140 technical schools throughout Brazil. In the period under investigation, 360% more technical schools were built than those built previously. The objective of this study was to analyze the impacts of federal network of professional education’s expansion  in the South of Minas Gerais and to carry out the historical survey of the agricultural technical schools of Muzambinho, Machado and Inconfidentes, all located in the south of the state of Minas Gerais. The exploratory research was characterized as qualitative, predominantly documentary and bibliographical, to go to the sources and understand, through data and information, the relation of the history of these institutions to the socioeconomic, political and cultural context of Brazil and the geographic region of the South of Minas Gerais. The theoretical perspective assumed presupposes the comprehension of the singular, being the internal reality of expansion, associated with the impact of the federal educational network in its relation with the local and regional community, inserted in this socio-historical context. From the point of analysis of the information obtained, we tried to understand how the expansion was transformed.
