Abstract

This paper analyses two portuguese plays, O indesejado, by Jorge de Sena, and Castro, by António Ferreira, based on themes as the exercise of power and the practice of justice. Both of them have in common the use of historical episodes to discuss the context their authors live in. As their main link one could point out the fact that the political situation Sena talks about in his play is derived from the one that served as a topic to Ferreira.
