In this article, after a brief conceptual revision on language planning andpolicy, models of language policies and an exemplary case of languagepolicy in the world, I will approach actual issues about languages policies inBrazil, such as the bilingual education in indigenous schools, the financingto research for documentation of languages in extinction, the revitalizationof languages or their varieties and the governmental investment in specificdidactic material for the indigenous education.How to Cite
