Abstract

This article is about the concept of representations on the perspective offered by Henri Lefebvre, with the intention of put it in way to the discussion about methodologic authority and proceeding in the analysis of the “school culture”, after a search made using history teachers interviews who had teached between 1965-75 and 1985-95, about the utopic dimension in the instruction of that subject. The representations, according the perpective used, are knowed not like an element to be overcommed in the searching of a more factual true, but like a strong level of reality, inciting or blocking desires, raising the immobilization or conformisms, causing actions and break impulses, causing creative practices or merely reproductives, producing falacies or anunciating the poiesis, the creative act.
