O artigo examina a construção histórica da sociedade civil na relação com o Estado e suas implicações para a democracia, a partir das contribuições de autores clássicos, para, em seguida, analisar a dinâmica própria do caso brasileiro e conseqüentes desdobramentos para a organização social e cultural.
Abstract
This paper examines the historical building of civil society and its relationship with the State and democratical implications, fom classical authors´contribution, after that it analyses the dynamics of a Brazilian case and its follow-up in a cultural and social organization.
