Abstract

Um dos objetivos deste trabalho é desvelar os processos socioculturais em torno da dinâmica das mobilizações sociais que se desenvolvem entre as sociedades indígenas Guarani que habitam o sul do Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul. As sociedades indígenas, no decorrer dos últimos cinco séculos, experimentaram diversas formas de enfrentamento e resistência. Nessa trajetória do contato conquistaram muitas vitórias, em especial no que se refere às leis que lhes reconhece o direito às terras. Porém, as leis não têm sido suficientes para garantir-lhes tais direitos, à medida em que estes são constantemente violados. Para lutar contra essas violações, alguns povos indígenas acabam lançando mão de seus próprios meios: reocupam territórios que consideram seus. Nesse contexto, estabelecem novos parâmetros para se pensar a diversidade e o Direito, com perspectivas que assegurem a diversidade étnica, demonstrando que os mesmos são sujeitos capazes de permanecerem no presente com projetos de futuro.
