Tem-se como objetivo, por meio do conteúdo aqui disposto, falar sobre Direitos Humanos, percebendo sua evolução, concretização e seu contexto atual especialmente na América Latina. É sabido que Direitos Humanos são produto de conquista histórica e passaram por modificações ao longo da história. Direitos adquiridos ao longo do tempo são de vital importância por garantirem uma condição minimamente digna, porém será destacado aqui o Direito à educação, tentando-se demonstrar a necessidade de uma educação preocupada em formar cidadãos que sejam agentes sociais. Enfatiza-se especialmente a educação em Direitos Humanos como pilar decisivo para o exercício da democracia e formação de um indivíduo crítico.
