BETWEEN THE WEST AND RUSSIA: UKRAINIAN INTERNAL DYNAMICS WITHIN GLOBAL HEGEMONIC STRUGGLES

This article explores Ukraine’s internal dynamics in the Russo-Ukrainian War through a neo- Gramscian lens, emphasizing the interplay of ethnic-regional cleavages, economic disparities, and oligarchic clans in shaping the conflict. It further examines the reciprocal influence between transnational forces and local realities, demonstrating how internal divisions intersect with the strategic interests of global powers such as Russia and the European Union. The analysis underscores the interaction between economic structures and hegemonic disputes in perpetuating conflicts in peripheral contexts, contributing to broader theoretical discussions and comprehensive analytical approaches.
