Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo apresenta, apenas de maneira introdutória, a condição da mulher no Oriente Médio e o surgimento do movimento feminista islâmico, a partir da compreensão de um fator comum para o entendimento das relações sociais e de gênero na cultura árabe, que é a religião. A abordagem deste artigo visa contribuir para com os estudos sobre a mulher nas Relações Internacionais, feminismo não ocidental e Oriente Médio.
