Indian foreign policy can be seen historically from two movements, the first goes from independence to the early 1990s, when the country sought non-alignment as a strategy for international insertion. The second begins with a process of moderate openness to global trade and the attempt to integrate the country into the agenda of the major issues discussed in international relations. This article seeks to reflect on India's foreign policy strategy for the twenty-first century. The text is divided in two parts, besides the introduction and conclusion: analysis of the "Great Strategy" of the country, principles and directions of foreign policy and issues on the international agenda of the country, such as international trade and investment, defense and security and regionalism.
Key words: Indian Foreign Policy; Asian Geopolitics; Great Strategy.
