About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Conjuntura Global publishes unpublished articles and reviews in the area of International Relations, produced by professors and researchers linked to stricto sensu graduate programs in Political Science, International Relations and related areas. The Journal will privilege the publication of articles and reviews on contemporary themes whose approach is capable of presenting theoretical and methodological innovations in the analysis of contemporary international phenomena. The Journal does not publish articles submitted by graduates or undergraduates. As a minimum requirement, authors must be linked to master's courses.
Peer Review Process
The evaluation of the contributions submitted to Conjuntura Global is carried out through the following steps:
1ª) All contributions are examined by the editors of Conjuntura Global, who will verify: (i) the compliance with the journal's editorial policy and publication norms. Submissions that do not comply with the editorial norms may be returned to the authors for adequacy; (ii) the theoretical and empirical quality of the submission. At this stage, articles with writing problems or that are overly descriptive, without relevant theoretical or empirical contributions, can potentially be rejected; (iii) verification of plagiarism or self-plagiarism (existence of parts of the manuscript published in other vehicles, except scientific conference proceedings).
2ª) Submissions will be then sent to the peer reviewers who will evaluate them in a double-blind process. The submissions can be either: accepted without amendments; approved on condition that the recommendations of the peer reviewers are incorporated; or rejected. Authors will have a deadline to send articles and reviews whose publication is conditioned to the incorporation of the recommendations of the peer reviewers. The re-submitted contributions will be subjected to further consideration by the peer reviewers, who may approve or reject the resubmitted articles and reviews.

Conjuntura Global (ISSN 2317-6563) is a biannual publication and receives submissions in a continuous workflow.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) policies, guidelines, and conditions of use
The Conjuntura Global Journal, aiming to provide greater transparency and guidance for reviewers and authors in relation to the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies, and in line with the guidelines and initial studies carried out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Cambridge University Press, Elsevier and SciELO, assumes the following policy on the subject: the works submitted to the journal will have their authorship attributed to the individual(s) responsible for the submission, since they are the result of research carried out entirely by them. The use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies are strictly prohibited for article writing, for generating results, or for creating/altering images or graphic elements. The application of the technology should be done with human supervision and control, and authors should carefully review and edit the result. Technologies should only be used to improve the language and readability of the article. That said, the use of AI by evaluators is prohibited.
Because they are not legal entities and do not assume responsibility for the work submitted, nor can they affirm the presence or absence of conflicts of interest, we understand that AI tools do not meet the authorship requirements. Chatbots cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of any article submitted to the Conjuntura Global Journal. No AI tools should be used in the generation of texts that make up the structure of the manuscript submitted to the journal. Authors who use AI tools at any stage of writing the manuscript submitted to the journal must explain transparently in the statement available on the website which tools were used, how they were used, and in which parts of the manuscript they were used. Authors are fully responsible for the content of the submitted manuscript, being responsible for any error or violation of publication ethics.
