Abstract

This research is designed as a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study and aimed at identifying the actions of permanent education in health that have been developed for the Comunity Health Agents (CHW), and specifically how they can influence their working process. The sample method of 26 subjects of two Family Health Strategy groups and the Community Health Agents Program in the city of Palmeira das Missões - Rio Grande do Sul was intentional. The analysis of data collected through questionnaire, allowed the construction of two thematic units: actions of permanent education; intersection of Permanent Education in Health and work process. It is concluded that the actions of Permanent Education is offered in two ways, both non-systematic, non-continuous basis and with a technical approach. With reference to the work process, they understand the permanent healthcare education as very important in problem solving and attention to users.
