Theoretical reflection of the teaching of ethics/bioethics in undergraduate nursing programs in Brazil, by the
ethical point of view. The objective is to reflect about the teaching of ethics/bioethics and the National Curricular Guidelines
in Nursing. We studied literature in the Virtual Health Library and other references on the subject in question. The results
show up as a challenge to procedures for training nursing and the reflection/action of the teaching of ethics in nursing:
teacher training in the area; transversality of ethics in the Course Educational Project; definition of the conceptualtheoretical
framework, based on interdisciplinary knowledge, articulation of disciplinary content of nursing with practical
problems, adoption of problematizing methods/strategies; education and active participation of actors in the process of
training. Thinking about the teaching practice focused on the incorporation of knowledge of ethics/bioethics regarding
the guidelines requires the breaking up with the traditional conceptions of normative ethics to the field of human moral and
training of teachers in this field.
