Abstract

This study was carried out in order to situate some understanding on interdisciplinarity, discuss its insertion in the health area, introduce some dialogues in another epistemological perspective, the multireference and, consequently, broaden the possibilities of carrying out the education of professionals in the health area. The multidisciplinary perspective has assumed different meanings in the educational field and has evolved as a way of counteracting the static world concept, which is present in the processes of professional qualification. On the other hand, the multireference analyzes facts, practices and situations of educational phenomena, breaking disciplinary boundaries and having a different look from distinct referential systems. By doing this, it’s possible to produce new kinds of knowledge, helping materialize all effective insertion projects of the citizens into social assets. This process brings about challenges which might be faced by educators, because we believe that it’s possible to glimpse another social order in the contradiction maze.
