The construction of gender relations in a public school in the city of Curitiba

this articles’s aim is to present, as a result of observations that took place in the public school Professor Herley Mehl, situated in Pilzarzinho, how gender relationships are constructed in an educational environment, taking into consideration that schools can reinforce or question gender sterotypes, creating an opportunity of reflection about them. In the envirornment that was observed, it was possible to notice that these sterotypes were more reinforced than questioned, which points out to the necessity of revising the attitudes of male and female teachers in order not only to recognize, but to understand and respect gender differences.
