Author Guidelines

Overall Guidelines

Revista X publishes articles, interviews, reviews, and testimonials of teaching experiences in the field of Languages authored by Brazilian and Foreign researchers. PhD-level researchers collaborate as external evaluators with the journal’s editorial team and institution.

Before submitting a manuscript, the authors must refer to active calls for papers in the journal’s Home Page. The works will be assessed according to the journal’s publication frequency. Failure to comply with the journal’s Guidelines for Authors will cause works to be returned to their authors so that the necessary changes are made before the commencement of the blind review process.

Should a submission have multiple authors, all of them must be registered as users in the journal’s system and listed in the submission’s page by the author in charge of the submission. All authors must have ORCIDs, which shall be informed in the metadata field at the time of the submission’s registration.

The texts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English and must be original. The manuscripts shall be sent for 2 reviewers for blind review, who in turn can recommend the work for publishing with no restrictions, recommend the work for publishing after the implementation of changes, recommend it for a new evaluation, or decline it. The texts will be accepted for publishing after being further revised by the proponent and all adjustments and corrections indicated by reviewers are implemented within the deadline proposed by the journal.

NOTE: The first version of a document submitted for evaluation in Word format (.doc or .docx) shall carry no identification of the author.

Upon approval for publishing, the title of the work’s final version must be centered and written all in uppercase with bold formatting, using font size 12. The author must skip a line and then add the title once again, now in foreign language, centered and in italic. After skipping one more line, the author must include his/her first name followed by last name in uppercase, their institution of affiliation, email address and, finally, ORCID — the URL must begin with htpps. Each piece of information must be added in a different line. Then, the author must leave a blank line and, in the following line, include the abstract in the language the paper is written, followed by keywords with no space. The author shall then skip another line and include the abstract and keywords in foreign language, following the same formatting style.

By submitting their work to Revista X, the author(s) automatically assign copyright for publishing.
