Gender identity at the school environment: prejudice and stereotypes

This paper has the aim to present a study of gender in a public school setting. It aims to show the view of gender students have by ascribing adjectives to them and how a stereotyped view of gender is reiterated in school settings. The study is based on qualitative analysis in a poststructuralist perspective. The result of the analysis shows that gender prejudice is still present in people’s speech and attitude.
