Abstract

The modernity brought a series of terms that won the flavor of
the moment: new, originality, creativity, rupture. Since
“Romantismo”, and every time intensifying plus, the literary
tradition seems to be confined at museums; the past,
represented by the classic, it became object of forgetfulness.
We looked for, in this article, to demonstrate that the texts
modern, a lot of literary times your “revelia”, retake themes or
“lugar-comum” of the classic literature, the topoi. It is with
that glance that we examined in the poem “O encontro”, of
Adélia Prado, the carpe diem horaciano, consecrated in the
poem “ad Leuconoen”.
