Abstract

In Literature, several cities have assumed the condition of literary symbols linked to the writings of expressive writers. In Fernando Pessoa’s poetry, Lisbon assumes the state of a symbolic universe where the poet’s deepest existence finds echo. Lisbon is a permanent presence in Bernardo Soares’ prose and in the poems of the heteronym Álvaro de Campos. That makes possible a Pessoan geography which transcends the simple description of the city, becoming an art of weaving interior landscapes.
